The law major of Qingdao University ranks seventh in the school, seventh in the universities of Shandong Province and 159 in the universities of China.

The law major of Qingdao University is the key construction major in the construction project of famous schools with characteristics in Shandong Province. Law major was selected as the national "first-class major" construction site. The Law School is an authorized unit of the first-class discipline Master of Laws, a postgraduate training base for professional Master of Laws (JM), a local legislative research service base in Shandong Province and a local legislative research base in Qingdao. It has provincial key disciplines of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law (Twelfth Five-Year Plan) and provincial key laboratory of "Application of Material Evidence Technology" (National Comprehensive Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Liberal Arts). There is an intellectual property research institute and a number of scientific research achievements cultivation institutions.
