Hunan University, located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province, is a national key university with a long history. The predecessor of Hunan University is Yuelu Academy, one of the four major academies in Song Dynasty, which was founded in the ninth year of Kaibao in Song Taizu (AD 976).
