1. Liaoning University of Engineering Technology

Liaoning University of Engineering Science was founded in 1949, formerly known as Fuxin Mining Institute. In the early 1960s, it became the only coal university in Northeast China and one of the two national key universities directly under the former Ministry of Coal Industry. Many general managers or chairmen of seven major coal enterprises in China graduated from this school, which is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" in the coal industry.

The school was established by the Liaoning Provincial Government and the Emergency Management Department, and has been selected as one of the universities implementing the National College Students' Innovation Experimental Plan, universities with typical experience in graduate employment, universities with excellent engineer education and training programs, universities receiving scholarships from the China Municipal Government for overseas students, key universities in the basic capacity building project of central and western universities, the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the top 50 universities in China.

2. Fuxin College

Fuxin College was founded in 1958. It is a full-time college approved by the State Council and put on record by the Ministry of Education. Originally Fuxin Teachers College, it was renamed Fuxin College in April 1993.

Fuxin city is located in the middle transition zone between Inner Mongolia Plateau and Northeast Liaohe Plain, and belongs to the hilly area of western Liaoning. The whole area is rectangular, and the central axis is oblique at the intersection of 4210' north latitude and122 00' east longitude.
