Entry notice
The National Innovative English Composition Competition is jointly organized by the College Student Department of the Ministry of Education, the College Admissions Magazine sponsored by the China College Admissions Research Association and many well-known universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University and Beijing Normal University. It has been successfully held for five times so far.
Since its establishment, the National Innovative English Composition Competition has always adhered to the purpose of "promoting quality education, cultivating innovative talents, gradually changing the mode of selecting talents based on the results of the college entrance examination, exploring a diversified selection mechanism for outstanding talents, and providing opportunities for students with special English skills to show their talents to universities", which has been widely recognized by universities and candidates.
In order to coordinate the contradiction between college entrance examination review and competition for senior three students and provide more convenience for students to participate in the competition, the competition starts from March to April every year, and the rematch is arranged in summer vacation (August). All senior three students can sign up for the competition.
The relevant matters of the contest are hereby notified as follows.

Second, participants: high school students from all over the country.
Third, the selection method: the contest is divided into preliminary and semi-final. The preliminary entries will be judged by a judging panel composed of English teachers in colleges and universities and English teachers in key middle schools, and a certain proportion (in principle, no more than 500 people) will be judged from high to low to enter the semi-finals. Candidates who take part in the semi-finals must receive the on-site semi-finals in the designated place according to the notification requirements of the organizing Committee of the competition (the time and place will be notified separately). The results of the semi-finals are ranked from high to low, and the top 30% (in principle, no more than 150) outstanding students actually participate in the competition are the winners of this competition. Players who enter the semi-finals will be awarded a "semi-finals certificate". The whole rematch is supervised by the notary office where the rematch is held.

The internet in my life
According to a report of the American Digital Future Project, the overall Internet access has risen to the highest level in the past four years. About three-quarters of Americans surf the Internet. The online time has been increasing continuously, reaching an average of 12.5 hours per week, which is the highest level of this study so far. What do people do online? Experienced users and new users spend the most time online dealing with emails, followed by browsing the web, working at home, reading news and so on. As far as Internet users are concerned, the report shows that three-quarters of Internet users are aged 55 and below. Are you an Internet user? If so, how long do you surf the Internet every week? How do you connect to the Internet? What did you get from using it? If not, why not? What will you miss if you don't use it?
note:
1. Please use A4 paper (2 1cm*29.6cm) to write or print the answer sheet neatly.
2. The answer sheet should be bound together with the application form. No information such as name, address, etc. shall be written on the answer sheet, and no marks shall be made, otherwise the answer sheet will be invalid.
3, the composition topic is self-made, with about 300 words.
5. Entry method: Candidates should fill in the entry form (stamped with the official seal of their middle school) and send the entry form (please fill in the details as required) and the preliminary entries to College Admissions magazine before June 10, 2007 (subject to the postmark of the mailing place). Please complete the preliminary work independently. The marking fee for the preliminary round is 60 yuan/person, and each person is limited to one essay (repeated delivery is deemed as invalid). The marking fee for the preliminary competition should be remitted to the magazine by post office at the same time as the entry composition is sent (please indicate the word "competition" in the postscript for remittance, and the remitter should always write the name and address of the contestants. Please don't encrypt the remittance, and don't send cash by envelope.
Incentives and incentives for intransitive verbs: Students who take part in this competition and win the "winner" can automatically obtain the "independent enrollment" test qualification of participating universities or the corresponding preferential admission conditions of other non-independent enrollment universities. Foreign language teachers in middle schools all over the country are welcome to organize outstanding students to participate in the competition, and we will select the "Excellent Organization Award" according to the situation.
7. Preferential conditions of colleges and universities: The preferential conditions of colleges and universities participating in this competition will be announced on Sina's College Admissions magazine and the blog page of College Admissions magazine. From June 5, 2007 to 10.
Eight, the competition schedule:
1, initial time: April 2007 10 to June 2007 10.
2. Release date of preliminary results: After July 2007 10, the list of semi-finals will be released in Sina.com and other relevant media, and the list of semi-finals will not be notified one by one.
3. Time and place of rematch: The time and place of rematch will be announced at the same time as the list of rematch is announced.

1, "Application Form" was published in the sixth issue of College Admissions Magazine (College Entrance Examination Edition) in 2007. Candidates can also download it from the blog page of College Admissions Magazine (/ccua), and the copy of this form is valid. Every item on the form must be filled in in detail.
2. The right to handle all manuscripts in the preliminary and semi-final matches belongs to the college admissions magazine.
