Sanjiang university, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, was formally established on 1992. It is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. As a private university, in 2020, sanjiang university ranked 17 nationwide, higher than Shu Ren College in Zhejiang and lower than Hankou College.
Sanjiang university is an independent college, not a branch school. It is a provincial-level undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, the first private undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province and one of the first four private undergraduate colleges in China.
Sanjiang university's school name can be traced back to 1902 Sanjiang Normal School (the predecessor of Southeast University, Nanjing University and other universities). 1in March, 1992, Tao Yongde and Qi of Southeast University, Ding Cheng of Nanjing University and Xie of Nanjing Staff University retired and will soon retire.
Educational management cadres initiated the establishment of sanjiang university. 1June, 1993, the Jiangsu provincial government agreed to establish the sanjiang university and try to recruit students. /kloc-0 was formally established in April, 1995 with the approval of the former State Education Commission. In February 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an undergraduate university, named sanjiang university.
