Brief introduction of sea rice
Sea rice is salt-tolerant and alkaline rice, which can grow in seawater. On the basis of the existing naturally occurring wild rice with high salt tolerance and alkalinity, a rice variety which can be industrialized and popularized, grows normally under the seawater irrigation condition with salinity not lower than 1%, and the yield can reach 200-300 kg/mu. There are 950 million hectares of saline-alkali land in the world, including 6,543.8+billion hectares (/kloc-0.50 billion mu) in China, and 280 million mu can be developed and utilized.
201610/4 established a 30-mu sea rice research and breeding base in the north of Jiaozhou Bay, and established the Qingdao sea rice R&D Center with Yuan Longping as the director and chief scientist, which is also the first national sea rice R&D center in China.
On May 28th, 20 18, Qingdao Sea Rice R&D Center held sea rice transplanting activities in five experimental bases, namely Chengyang in Qingdao, Daqing in Heilongjiang, Nanniwan in Shaanxi, Kashgar in Xinjiang and Wenzhou in Zhejiang.
September, 2065438+September, 2009 18, Yuan Longping "Sea Rice" team set up the first cold breeding workstation of "Sea Rice" in tieli city National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park. 12 18, great progress has been made in the research of salt-tolerant sea rice in China, and the average yield per mu in regional experimental planting bases exceeds 400 kg.
