The College of Mechanical and Power Engineering aims to establish a world-famous college. Through international cooperation in running schools, the construction of teaching staff and the construction of high-level disciplines, the college will be developed into a modern and international new college with high level of teachers, strong school-running strength, good management efficiency, leading scientific research level, student training quality and comprehensive ability in Industry-University-Research, and great influence on the overall school-running strength in the world. Cooperate with Michigan University for scientific research, Purdue University and Hong Kong University for 2+2 undergraduate programs, Cincinnati University for 2+3 undergraduate programs, Purdue University and University of Pennsylvania for 3+ 1+ 1 undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and sign a new agreement with Norwegian University of Science and Technology for postgraduate programs. Shanghai Jiaotong University-foreign universities-multinational enterprises' engineering cooperation project mode was established to improve students' engineering design experience, cross-cultural cooperation ability and international vision. Form an international teaching staff, assessment and employment system, international frontier scientific research base, international advanced scientific research ability, international talent training and evaluation system and international management system. After completing the international evaluation on 20 1 1, the college is considered to have made remarkable progress in the past five years, and its overall strength is close to the top 50 in the world, and some research fields rank first in the world.
