1, civil engineering. This major was rated as a national major in 2008, and passed the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of Construction for the third time in 2009. The Department of Civil Engineering has a strong faculty. China Institute of Engineering has 2 academicians (double-employed), 65,438 professors (including researchers) and 26 associate professors (including associate researchers).

2. Engineering mechanics. This major trains students to meet the needs of China's socialist modernization, develop morally, intellectually and physically in an all-round way, master the basic theory, calculation technology and experimental skills of engineering mechanics, and be able to engage in engineering design and analysis, technical development and technical management related to mechanical problems in related engineering fields.

3. Biotechnology. This major has established a joint school-running system with Shanghai Institute of Life Sciences of China Academy of Sciences, which provides good conditions for students' teaching and scientific research practice. The research directions of this major are: human genomics and disease genomics, the structure and function of biological macromolecules, nucleic acid molecular biology, molecular genetics and so on.

4. bioengineering. This major focuses on practical ability and comprehensive quality, aiming at cultivating applied and research-oriented talents with a solid grasp of the basic theory and experimental technology of modern life sciences and a certain engineering foundation. This major is a characteristic major of the school.
