Yanbian University is located in Yanji City, the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. It is a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university and a "double-class" construction university, and also a key construction university for the development of the western region.
Established in 1949, the school consists of Yanji, Hunchun Campus and two affiliated hospitals. The school covers an area of1960,000 square meters, including 930,000 square meters of school buildings.
The school now has 22 colleges and 75 undergraduate majors. Among them, there are 32 first-class master's degree authorized disciplines, 22 professional master's degree authorized points and 5 graduate workstations in Jilin Province.
