Sichuan University of Arts and Sciences, located in Dazhou, eastern Sichuan, has a school history dating back to Longshan Academy in the late Qing Dynasty. It started higher education on 1976, and was called Daxian Teachers College. 1978 is a full-time college approved by the State Council.

The school actively expands the international vision of education, establishes cooperation and exchange relations with more than 10 universities in the United States, Britain, France, Australia, Czech Republic, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos and other countries, and sends international students to Caotang University, Palatsky University, Northern University, Botra University and Swansea University all the year round, recommending students with excellent academic performance to go to the United States for paid internships and master's degrees. International students were enrolled in 20 14, totaling 105, and there are currently 72 students.
