1. The school was formerly Shanghai No.1 Workers and Peasants Accelerated Middle School, which was founded in 1954. It was changed to Shanghai Jiaotong University Foundation, 1962 to Shanghai University of Science and Technology Foundation (attached middle school), 1963 to Jiaotong Middle School, and 1964 to its current name.
