There are three main types of dormitory in Tan Kah Kee College of Xiamen University, including on-campus dormitory, off-campus dormitory and student apartment.

1. Campus dormitory

Dormitories on campus are usually provided by schools, including student apartments and dormitories in colleges. Student apartments are usually new high-rise buildings. Each floor is equipped with facilities such as kitchen and public laundry room. Usually, two to four people live in each room. Dormitories in colleges are provided by colleges, with different internal facilities and management methods.

2. Off-campus dormitory

Dormitories off campus are generally rented by students themselves, such as houses and apartments around the school. This type of dormitory is usually cheaper, but there are also problems such as the surrounding environment, which require students to choose by themselves.

3. Student apartment

The student apartment is jointly invested and built by the school and the government, mainly to meet the accommodation needs of students. This kind of dormitory is generally equipped with independent facilities such as toilets, bathrooms and kitchens, as well as public entertainment and study areas. Student apartment has a high level of safety and management, and can also provide a comfortable living environment, which is a popular accommodation choice for students.
