Wuhan textile University is one of the first universities in China to build the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest", the universities to implement the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the universities to build "National First-class Discipline" in Hubei Province, and the top ten fashion schools in China.
The school adheres to the discipline construction idea of "unitary leadership, diversified promotion, outstanding characteristics and coordinated development" and builds a good academic ecology. At present, there are 18 colleges (departments), covering 7 disciplines such as science, engineering, literature, law, economics, management and art, with 15 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees and 9 categories authorized by master's degrees.
The school has a national-level teaching team and a national-level talent training mode reform experimental area, including two national first-level undergraduate courses, six national excellent open courses, the Ministry of Education 1 new engineering research and practice project, and two new liberal arts research and reform practice projects. In recent years, it has won 7 first prizes for provincial and ministerial teaching achievements.
