Everybody! Practice is much worse than no practice. For example, if there is a doctor in the world who, like Master, has no training in Buddhism, you should scold the doctor and say, "You are stupid and ignorant!" " "He was angry at once. Because he accepts the cultivation of acquired knowledge, this is common sense, this common sense, this language, this kind of writing that he insists on being true, and when he shapes his personality with his own ideas, that strong self-esteem, superiority and protectionism will make him vulnerable. The more he studies, the more persistent he is, and the more he wants to protect himself, the more vulnerable he is! Then stay with master. When I was trained by the Buddha, you called me an idiot and ignorant, and I wouldn't be angry at all. Why? Ignorance is a pseudonoun. If you say I am ignorant, am I really ignorant? Are you ignorant or am I ignorant? You call me ignorant, so I become ignorant? Therefore, when you practice, you realize the Tao, and others call you stupid and ignorant, that's all. Very free and easy: "Oh, yes, yes, you scold, this is your business, not mine. "So, a secular person and a secular person live in a completely different world, and small things are enough to make this doctor worry and suffer; Great events are not enough to make this yogi suffer and worry.
I had a master's degree a while ago, and his girlfriend had to break up. At that time, she was chopped more than 30 times and finally committed suicide by jumping off a building. Look, how many books have you read? Primary school, junior high school, high school, university, research institute, master's degree to doctoral degree, think about it! So, this is the truth in the world. I have read a lot of books, and the ideas and outlook on life established by language, writing and ideology are very fragile; The liberation thought and system established by our nature, instinct and universal survival wisdom is very beyond liberation. The same person has a completely different view of life.
Once a student from Harvard University came and said, "Our Harvard University wants to invite Master to give a speech at Harvard." I said, "Why?" He said: "Many China people in our country, including those who studied in Chinese mainland and Taiwan Province Province in the past, and some people who know Chinese, want to hear it." I said, "Why do you want to listen?" He said, "Everyone is confused." He brought an American. He doesn't understand Chinese. I said, "You translate it for him." He doesn't know why he wants to learn Buddhism. People in the world, what will you do after you graduate from Harvard University? Inferentially, it's a lawyer and an accountant? Come back to get married, have children, come back? Why not make a movie abroad and die?
Who is the real superstar of Jesus Christ? It's Sakyamuni Buddha, that's the real superstar! The movie star and singer acted in several plays and died immediately. Do you remember the previous singers? As far as Taiwan Province Province is concerned, how many singers do you remember fifty years ago? Otherwise, who wrote Looking at the Spring Breeze, do you still remember? We have not left the universal wisdom of the liberation of Buddhism to future generations, so in this life, even if you are famous, in fact, life is nothing more than that. How did you pursue it? This is a matter of life and death and illusion. You can only sympathize with him. The outlook on life is different. People in the world rely on illusions and hallucinations. Practitioners practice according to mindfulness, awareness, epiphany and Buddhism, and their outlook on life is completely different.
Master Lv Hui.
Self-purification, except my slowness, enlightening and serving all beings.
Human wisdom is not equal to Buddhist wisdom. The wisdom of Buddhism is to understand the reality of life inside and outside the body and mind, the universe, and stay away from upside-down dreams and "I am slow". The higher the wisdom in the world, the greater the "I am slow" behind it, so the wisdom in the world is different from that in Buddhism. Even if a person gets two or three PhDs, or is really invincible in publishing your papers and theories, his academic achievements will occupy a place in the world, but first of all, he must see that I am "slow" and secondly, he is deeply uneasy. Have the grievances and life-and-death events been completely solved? If not, even if you stand on international occasions and international stage and attract people's attention, you can deceive others when you face yourself privately, but you can't deceive yourself. Therefore, the liberation that Buddhism talks about is to come back and face our innermost problems truthfully, so that we can truly understand the reality of life and the universe inside and outside our body and mind, and let us leave the world where our dreams are reversed.
The sense of shame must have preconditions. If a person can see his own shortcomings, he will learn with an open mind. If he can see that he is a frog in the well, he will be willing or possible to jump out of that narrow box. Attention! This is very, very important because we are easily blocked by our I am, I can, and I am slow. A person's greatest enemy is himself, and the greatest enemy on the road of practice is himself. The so-called "I am" means that we will have a lot of "I am …, I am …", such as "I am the head of the family, I am the chairman, I am the general manager, I am the county magistrate, I am the executive dean, I am the president …", and a "I am" comes out, behind which is a kind of show-off: "What am I, what am I?" "I'm a bachelor, I'm a doctor ..." It's not that being a doctor is not good, but the show-off heart behind us. Have you seen the "slow heart" lurking in it? Take your time.
