The address of Lanzhou Jiaotong University is No.88, Anning West Road, Anning District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Lanzhou Jiaotong University, located in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province, is an important node city of the Belt and Road Initiative. It is a university jointly established by China Railway Corporation, Gansu Provincial People's Government, State Railway Administration and Gansu Provincial People's Government.

The Confucius Institute of Seville University in Spain authorized the construction unit, and the Ministry of Education supported universities, high-level universities in Gansu Province and "first-class disciplines" to build universities.

The school has a large number of talent training bases, such as the National General Language Promotion Base, the National Railway Science Popularization Base, the National Beidou Science Popularization Base, the Cultural Heritage Base of the Ministry of Education, the Western Continuing Education Base of the Ministry of Railways, and the Northwest Minority Language Training Base.
