Plot outline
The beginning of A Dream of Red Mansions introduces the origin of the work in the form of myth, saying that there is an unused stone in The Goddess of Mending Heaven, which was abandoned at the foot of Geng Qingfeng, a lonely cliff in a big barren mountain. Great tuas and mysterious real people passed by here, and they were endowed with spirituality by magic and brought to the world. I don't know how many times I have been robbed. When I saw a story burned on a stone, I was asked by the stone to copy it down and pass it on from generation to generation. It was sent to Cao Xueqin, who read it for ten years, added and deleted it five times and wrote a book.
The story in the book begins in the town of Yin Shi. On the night of Lantern Festival, Zhen's daughter Zhen was abducted; Soon, Hulu Temple caught fire and Zhen's home was burned down. Zhen took his wife to find his father-in-law, who was stingy and greedy, and Zhen Yinshi was sick and desperate; Later, I met a lame Taoist, listened to his "Good Song" and made notes for it. After the guidance of the Taoist priest, I really woke up and became a monk with the Taoist priest.
