Taking legal professional literature and related subject literature as the core and focus of the collection, a model with legal literature as the main body and related subject literature developing in proportion has been initially formed. Some first-class documents and second-class documents in the collection are in the forefront of the country in terms of quantity and document renewal. In recent years, the construction of library automation has developed rapidly, and the internal business work has realized automatic management, which can provide literature information services for readers under the network environment. The library has established a document exchange relationship with the document information institutions in more than 20 countries and regions, which has laid the foundation for building the school into a national legal document information center.

The library displays its books through the reader's catalogue. The traditional reader directory is card-shaped, which consists of three parts: the title directory, the author directory and the classified directory. Readers can find the title and author catalogue according to the stroke order of Chinese characters, and the classification catalogue according to the classification number. Books entered the library before June 5438 +2002 10 adopt the book classification of China Renmin University; Books put into storage after June 5438 +2002 10 adopt Chinese Library Book Classification. The books in these two periods are distributed in different stacks, and the distinction is obvious. Readers can use different classifications in different fields to find the books they need.
