Most of the postgraduate entrance examinations in the Chinese Department are comprehensive. The Chinese Department has seven core courses, namely literature and art, linguistics, ancient Chinese, modern Chinese, modern and contemporary literature history, ancient literature history and foreign literature history.

Literature and art are also called an introduction to literature. At present, the most popular version in China is Tong Qingbing, and some schools in Shanghai and Nanjing will refer to Hu Youqing's Outline of Literature and Art, such as Nanjing University.

There are also Zhu Dongyue editions of Sichuan University and Shaanxi Normal University. Hong Zicheng NTU, Ding Fan. Fudan University Chen Sihe Edition.

In the history of ancient literature, Yuan Xingpei's version is the most widely used, and some colleges of arts and sciences use their own teachers. In addition, there is the Youguoen edition, which was published earlier. Many opinions have changed, but some schools still prefer this version. After all, it used to be very popular.

There are only two versions of foreign literature, one is a good version and the other is Zhu's version. There is not much difference between the two. Zhu's version is relatively simple, while Zheng's version is relatively comprehensive and systematic. Recommend Zheng Kelu.
