School of Journalism and Communication of Peking University, affiliated to Peking University, is one of the best journalism schools in China. Relying on the increasingly strengthened discipline foundation of journalism and communication, and integrating the resources of the whole school, a journalism and communication research and teaching mode with Peking University characteristics and adapting to the development of the times has been gradually formed, and a series of discipline groups including journalism, communication, advertising, editing and publishing, network communication, radio, film and television, cross-cultural communication, public relations, media management and so on have been formed. There are doctoral programs, master programs and postdoctoral mobile stations in journalism and communication. On May 28th, 20001,Peking University resumed the establishment of the School of Journalism and Communication. Relying on the increasingly strengthened discipline foundation of journalism and communication and integrating the resources of the whole school, the School of Journalism and Communication has gradually formed a research and teaching model of journalism and communication with the characteristics of Peking University, which is suitable for the development of President Xu Zhihong, President Shao Huaze and distinguished professor, and has formed a series of discipline groups including news, communication, advertising, editing and publishing, network communication, radio, film and television, cross-cultural communication, public relations and media management. After ten years of development, the School of Journalism and Communication has made great progress in discipline construction, personnel training and academic research.
At present, the School of Journalism and Communication has three academic levels: undergraduate, master and doctor.
The undergraduate course has four majors: journalism, advertising, editing and publishing, and radio and television news.
Postgraduates have set up doctoral and master's programs in journalism and communication, and their professional research directions cover international news, journalism and communication practice, journalism and communication history, international and cross-cultural communication, mass communication, new media and network communication, advertising theory and practice, media management, editing and publishing, and many other fields.
