There are six provinces around Anhui, namely Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Henan. Anhui Province is located in the east of Chinese mainland and belongs to East China, with east longitude11454'-1937' and north latitude 29 46544'. The eastern and southern parts of Anhui are connected with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces, forming a part of the Yangtze River Delta. The nearest is Jiangsu province, because the two provinces have a border of more than 400 kilometers.
Anhui and Jiangsu are "twin provinces" of China, which have deep historical origins. Anhui and Jiangsu were formerly jiangnan province in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This province covered the vast fertile soil on the four banks of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, and was one of the richest and most important provinces at that time. In the 6th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1667), jiangnan province was divided into Anhui Province and Jiangsu Province, and there are still many political, economic and cultural ties between the two modern provinces.
