Since the mid-1990s, Dr. Lin Chaolun has been the chief Chinese translator of the British Foreign Office, responsible for the translation of the Queen of England, prime ministers (including Major, Blair, Brown, Cameron and theresa may) and their key cabinet members. China leaders attending the reception included Xi Jinping, Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin, Li Keqiang, Wen Jiabao and Zhu Rongji.
Lin Chaolun often works as an interpreter for the director-level activities of the China-Britain Business Council and many famous British multinational companies. In addition to his interpretation practice, he also offers business interpretation courses at the University of Surrey.

Dr. Lin Chaolun is also a master professor of interpretation at middlesex University, a visiting professor of English-Chinese translation at Bath University, an English-Chinese translation lecturer at university of westminster, London, a Chinese-English business interpretation course at Surrey University and a visiting professor at university of international business and economics.
Dr. Lin is the author of many domestic classics such as Practical Interpretation (Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press) and Practical Translation (Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press). Among them, "Practical Interpretation" is the first interpretation textbook that systematically introduces and trains notes in China, and it has been selected as a textbook by many famous schools such as Beijing Foreign Studies University.
