Beiyang Choir, as the first non-music major college choir in China, has developed its own fresh and simple style. Over the past 20 years, Beiyang Chorus has performed over 1000 choral works of various styles in various periods, such as Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern, Contemporary, Folk Songs from all over the world, Modern and Contemporary Songs from China, and original songs on campus, including a large number of classical choral symphonies, such as Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Mozart's Mass in C Major and Vivaldi's. While constantly strengthening the team's self-construction, the choir also actively strives for the development of the choral cause in China and the world, and has been invited to participate in the chorus conductor master class organized by the International Chorus Union and the Chinese Chorus Association for many times as a demonstration choir. At the same time, the choir published 12 choruses, recorded 9 records and performed with more than 30 choirs, including the world-renowned Warsaw University Choir, the Southern California Masters Choir, the Berkem Children's Choir, the Hanover Women's Choir, and the Mariette Youth Choir. Ma Geshun, Yan Liangkun, Tian Yubin, Yang Hongnian, Wu Lingfen, Xiaobai and many other experts from China Chorus came to give guidance to the Chorus, and spoke highly of "a college choir with many literary contacts, many first singers, accurate style and advanced chorus consciousness". Mr. leps Mubuyaba, President of the International Chorus Union, once rated Beiyang Chorus as "China Chorus Angel", and Mr. Tang, Vice President of the International Chorus Union, also gave the choir an excellent evaluation of "a rare excellent chorus".
