Hunan University of Science and Technology is located in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province in the middle of Hunan Province.

It is a multidisciplinary university that focuses on engineering, with the coordinated development of science, engineering, economics, management, literature, law, art and other disciplines. It is the only comprehensive university in Hunan Province that has been identified as a provincial key university, and it is also the only university built by the national "2 1 1 project".

Hunan University of Science and Technology was founded in 1958.
