Eat in the campus restaurant.
? Brief introduction of campus restaurant
There are twelve restaurants in the campus, which are distributed in all parts of the campus. Coffee is the favorite of Americans, so there are thirteen different cafes in the school. There are also small supermarkets and fast food restaurants all over the campus. Many of these dining spots are located downstairs in the dormitory, which is very convenient.
Restaurants offer all kinds of food. Generally speaking, sandwiches, salads and hamburgers are the most common. Chinese food or dinner will provide some hot dishes, but there is not much Chinese food, and even if there is, the taste is not very authentic.
The price of meals in the school canteen is relatively reasonable. Take breakfast as an example. 5.5 yuan for a sandwich. $6.50, $3.95 for a pint of milk, and 3 for a chicken salad? 3.5 dollars and so on.

? Choose a meal plan
You can use cash directly in the campus dining room, or you can consider choosing two different dining plans offered by the School Accommodation and Catering Service (HFS), which will give you some preferential treatment.
? Accommodation catering
Students who live in the school dormitory must choose a dining level when applying for the dormitory, otherwise they cannot complete the application. The catering level * * * is divided into seven standards, ranging from $725 to 1770 per quarter. As long as you choose any level except the lowest level PR, HFS will reward some money to your husky card, with the reward ratio ranging from 3% to 7%. The higher the standard, the higher the reward ratio, with a maximum reward of $93. All standards can be converted at will, but it should be noted that the conversion from low standard to high standard can be carried out at any time, but the conversion from high standard to low standard can only be applied before the start of next semester, so choose low ratio and high ratio.
The amount in the card is valid for three quarters, namely autumn, winter and spring. Autumn is the beginning of a cycle, and the inexhaustible balance can be carried forward to the next quarter, but it is not allowed to be carried forward at the end of the following spring. The unused balance in the card is non-refundable.
Please click here to view the specific standards of dining level; Click here, you can use the online dining calculator tool to choose the standard that suits you.
? U plan
Students who rent a house off campus or live in a school apartment can consider joining the U plan launched by the school if they often eat and buy things on campus, which is more cost-effective than spending money directly. As long as you deposit $200 into Husky Card every time, your account will actually be filled with $220, and the extra $20 is a reward from HFS. The amount in the card is valid for one year, and the unused balance is not refundable. You can use it in school restaurants, coffee shops, fast food trucks, Italian coffee bars and small supermarkets.

Eat in an off-campus restaurant
There is a street next to the school called University Road, and there are many restaurants with various flavors on both sides of the street. After eating in the school cafeteria for a long time, many students will go there for a change. There are many Asian-style restaurants in Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan, and the prices of the dishes are relatively approachable, but it is not easy to eat authentic Chinese food. If you are already a member of China Students and Scholars Association (CSSA), you can also enjoy discounts in designated restaurants with your membership card.
If you want to eat authentic China food, I suggest you go to Chinatown or Bellevue. Here are some restaurants with unique flavors:
? Super buffet, a very famous Chinese cafeteria, has a good environment and delicious food, especially seafood, and the price is moderate. The address is 300 northeast of Beimen Road.
? East-facing, Taiwan Province flavor, good taste, but not enough weight. If you have a big appetite, you have to order more dishes. Note that Donglai restaurant is closed in the morning. The address is 1075 Bellevue Way NE, Ste B-2, between 10 street and 12 street.
? Yushan, a Beijing-style restaurant, serves pancakes, fruits, handmade dumplings and other special snacks with sufficient weight and good taste. There will also be cakes, fried dough sticks and soybean milk on weekends. The address is 14553 Bosseur Road.
? Emerald Garden is a Cantonese-style restaurant specializing in Cantonese dim sum and seafood. The food is authentic and the price is moderate. Many people go to eat, especially on weekends. Remember to reserve seats in advance. The address is 424 Seventh Avenue, between Weller Street and James Street.
? Sichuan cuisine, a Sichuan cuisine restaurant that has been operating in Seattle for many years, is authentic and cheap. There are two branches, located at Jackson South Street 1048 and Northeast 24th Street 15005.
There are many Chinese restaurants in Chinatown and Bellevue, and the taste is relatively good. You can have a look at it sometime.
Buy food and cook by yourself
Students who live in dormitories or apartments with public kitchens, as well as students who rent houses outside the school, can consider buying food and cooking by themselves, and the cost is much less than that in the canteen or eating out.
Just arrived at school, unfamiliar with the surrounding environment, you can go to the small supermarket or vegetable market near the school to buy things, where you can buy common ingredients. When you get used to the new environment, you can go to a big vegetable market far away, or a supermarket run by China people. You can often buy some spices, snacks, vegetables and fruits that are rare in American supermarkets.
? Farmer market
The most famous PIKE PLACE PUBLIC MARKET in Seattle is one of the must-see spots for many tourists when they come to Seattle. There are many kinds of things sold in the market, such as fresh vegetables from the suburbs, all kinds of fish, shrimp and shellfish just shipped from the seaside, and all kinds of brightly colored fruits, which really makes people buy a lot. Although it is a farmer's market, some things may be more expensive than supermarkets. For example, the price of a local specialty cherry sold in the market is twice that of a supermarket, so you must shop around and buy it again.
? supermarket
? Baijia Supermarket is a large supermarket in China, and its address is 14509 NE 20 St. Bellevue. It has a full range of goods and a good environment. The most attractive thing is that you can buy many China spices and snacks that are not easy to see in other supermarkets.
? HT Oak Market is located at No.0/0008, Aurora Avenue North, with convenient transportation. Mainly engaged in Chinese food, the variety is rich and the price is cheap, but some things are not particularly fresh, so you should pay attention when choosing.
? QFC, a supermarket chain, is relatively large in scale. The nearest one is at No.2746, Nei45th Street. The goods are complete and fresh, but the price is expensive.
? 99 Ranch Market, a large Chinese supermarket, * * has two stores, which are located at No.99 Highway 225 1 1 and E Valley Highway 18230. The traffic is not very convenient, but the supermarket environment is good, and all kinds of things are available, especially all kinds of fish are fresh and inexpensive. Many people in China will.
? Safeway, a supermarket chain, has many stores in Seattle, and there is also one near the school, but the scale is not large. The location is 4732 Brooklyn Street, between 47th Street and 50th Street. Necessities and fresh food are complete and the price is moderate.
There are some Asian supermarkets in Chinatown. Things will be much cheaper than other supermarkets, but the variety of things is not particularly rich and can only meet general needs. Moreover, the environment is chaotic, so it is best to go with your classmates.
When you go shopping in the supermarket, remember to apply for a membership card first, and you can enjoy preferential discounts when you buy designated goods. Moreover, American supermarkets often discount vegetables or meat that can't be sold on the same day, so it will save a lot of money to buy them then.
