Laiwu Campus of Shandong University of Finance and Economics is a branch of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, located in Laiwu City, Shandong Province. Yanshan University is an independent undergraduate college located in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province.

The two schools are different in history, subject setting, teaching staff and student size. Laiwu Campus of Shandong University of Finance and Economics was established in 2002 and is an important part of Shandong University of Finance and Economics. It has many disciplines such as economics, management, law, literature and foreign languages, and has a group of high-level teaching and research teams. Yanshan College, founded in 1950, is one of the first batch of independent undergraduate colleges in China. Its disciplines cover arts, science, engineering, management, law and education, and it has a high-level teaching and research team and excellent teaching facilities.
