The ranking of Hunan University of Science and Technology is as follows:

First, Hunan University:

Hunan University originated from Yuelu Academy, which was founded in 976 AD. 1903 was transformed into Hunan higher education institutions, and 1926 was named as provincial Hunan university. 1937 became the National Government 15 National University, and 1953 was renamed as Central South Institute of Architecture and Engineering.

As of March, 2023, the campus covers an area of 24 1 0,000 square meters, with a building area of 654,380+0.34 million square meters, a collection of 7.634 million books, 27 colleges, 78 undergraduate majors, 28 post-doctoral research stations, 30 doctoral programs in first-class disciplines, 37 master programs in first-class disciplines and 26 professional degree authorization categories.

Second, Changsha University of Science and Technology:

Changsha University of Science and Technology was formed by the merger of Changsha Jiaotong University and Changsha Institute of Electric Power in 2003. The predecessor of Changsha Jiaotong University is Changsha Navigation Engineering School founded by Ministry of Communications 1956, and the predecessor of Changsha Electric Power Institute is Changsha Hydropower School founded by Ministry of Electric Power Industry 1956.

As of June 2023, the school has two campuses, Jinpenling and Yuntang, covering an area of 2,980 mu, with a total construction area of 1 0.4 million square meters, 3.6 million books in the library, 22 teaching colleges, 1 independent colleges,1continuing education colleges and 86 undergraduate majors.

3. Xiang Xing College of Xiangtan University:

Xiang Xing College of Xiangtan University, located in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, is an independent college founded by Xiangtan University with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. The college has 49 undergraduate majors with nearly 5,500 students.

Xiang Xing College of Xiangtan University ranks 35th in the ranking of independent colleges of China Scientific Evaluation Research Center of Wuhan University, ranking first in Hunan Province.
