Beijing Institute of Technology
Beijing Institute of Technology is an independent private higher vocational college focusing on engineering and one of the national model higher vocational colleges. It was selected into the high-level vocational school with China characteristics and the professional construction plan, and the national construction industry skilled personnel training project.
The school, formerly known as Beijing Coal Industry School, was founded in 1956. Higher vocational education began in 1994, and 1999 was officially renamed as Beijing Institute of Industrial Technology. In 2000, the subordinate relationship of the school was changed from the former director of the Ministry of Coal to the director of Beijing. In 2007, the school was selected into the "National Model Higher Vocational College Construction Plan".
