Founded in 1954 and 65438+February, Wuhan University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power is a national key multi-disciplinary university in charge of arts and sciences. In 2000, Wuhan University of Water Resources and Electric Power merged with Wuhan University, Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping and Hubei Medical University to form the new Wuhan University. The main part of Wuhan University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power is now the Engineering Department of Wuhan University. Yichang Campus (formerly Gezhouba Hydropower Engineering College) merged with Hubei Three Gorges College to form Three Gorges University.
