Chuanshan College of University of South China was approved by Hunan Provincial People's Government in August 20001year, and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004. It is a full-time undergraduate independent college established by the University of South China according to the new mechanism and mode. Chuanshan College of University of South China is located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province, and enjoys the faculty and teaching resources of University of South China.

College is the only school in Hunan province that does not distinguish between independent colleges and host universities. The college enrolls students nationwide, and the enrollment plan is included in the enrollment plan of full-time undergraduate colleges.
