Hainan Tropical Ocean University is a public full-time undergraduate college in Sanya, Hainan Province, China, and the southernmost undergraduate college in China. Wuzhishan City has a campus. The school is supported by China Ocean University.
School history:
1977, Hainan Li and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Teachers College was established. 198 1 was renamed Hainan Autonomous Prefecture Teachers College. 1988, renamed Tongshi Teachers College.
65438-0993, Tongshi Normal College and Hainan Tongshi Education College merged into Qiongzhou College (junior college).
In 2006, Qiongzhou University was upgraded to Qiongzhou College.
In 2008, the main campus of the school was officially moved to Sanya.
On September 24, 20 15, it was renamed Hainan Tropical Ocean College.
