At present, our college has 2 undergraduate majors (sociology and social work), 4 master's degree majors (sociology, anthropology, folklore and social work), 1 professional master's degree major (social work), 1 doctoral program in two disciplines of sociology, 1 post-doctoral mobile station in sociology and 4 school-level research centers.

There are 32 full-time teachers, including professors 1 1, associate professors 13 and lecturers. Among them, 2 are members of the Steering Committee of Sociology Teaching of the Ministry of Education, 2 are members of the Steering Committee of National Social Work Degree Education of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, 1 is the chief expert of "Junma Project", 1 is the candidate of "New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan" of the Ministry of Education, 2 are candidates of "Yellow Crane Talent Plan" of Wuhan, and 2 are entitled to special government allowance from the State Council. In recent years, teachers in our college have presided over and undertaken a number of major, key and youth fund projects of the state, the Ministry of Education and Hubei Province.
