China Geo University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and established by the Ministry of Land and Resources, with earth system science as the main body and coordinated development of applied science, frontier science and emerging interdisciplinary subjects.
It is the national key construction of "2 1 1 project" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform", and the national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction university is listed in "national public postgraduate plan for building high-level universities", "1/plan" and "excellent engineer education and training plan". The 985 Platform Project is jointly undertaken by the people of China, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. 985 platform generally refers to 985 system engineering, namely "985 engineering science and technology innovation platform, 985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform and 985 engineering philosophy and social science innovation base".
