Are college students not allowed to be religious?
College students can believe in religion, and no state organ, social organization or individual may force citizens to believe in religion or not. However, it is forbidden to preach in educational institutions other than schools and religious institutions.

According to Article 36 of the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC), the people and citizens of China have freedom of religious belief. No state organ, social organization or individual may compel citizens to believe in or not believe in religion, and may not discriminate against citizens who believe in or not believe in religion.

The state protects normal religious activities. No one may use religion to engage in activities that disrupt social order, harm citizens' health or interfere with the national education system. Religious groups and religious affairs are not dominated by foreign forces.
