Qinghai Normal University has preparatory classes. Qinghai Normal University, referred to as Qinghai Normal University for short, is located in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province. As of May 2020, the school has two campuses, the west and the north, with a total area of nearly 1.500 mu. Qinghai Normal University was founded in 1956, formerly known as Qinghai Normal University, upgraded to Qinghai Normal University in 1958, and renamed Qinghai Normal University in 1984. After 1997, Qinghai Institute of Education, Qinghai Teachers College for Nationalities, bank of qinghai School and Qinghai Water Conservancy School merged one after another to form the new Qinghai Normal University.
