Introduction to Swansea University Entrance Examination;
All students studying at the University of Sunderland in autumn 2020 and spring 20021UK have the same test scores as IELTS, which can be used to apply for language courses, undergraduate and master's courses at the University of Sunderland.
(including Sunderland campus and London campus)
After the exam meets the requirements of language courses, you can use SVV (Student Visiting Visa) to attend foreign language classes, and you need to return to China to renew your Tier 4 visa after the course.
If the exam meets the requirements of direct admission, you can directly apply for a Tier 4 visa to enter the regular class.
Examination instructions
The whole test lasts about 2.5 hours and is divided into four parts: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The specific test contents are as follows:
Listening (key difference):
The listening part includes a pre-recorded text about the general topic of academic focus for about 10- 12 minutes. Candidates will listen twice and answer 20 comprehension questions accordingly. The types of questions include multiple-choice questions, true questions and wrong questions, as well as more open-ended questions and perfect questions. (Different from IELTS listening test)
Reading:
Candidates have a maximum of 40 minutes to read and answer 20 questions. Questions will be changed to ensure that students can demonstrate a series of reading assistance skills, such as browsing, scanning and intensive reading. Students will also test their ability to understand implied meanings and their ability to care and read. This type of question includes, but is not limited to, true/false questions, multiple choices with single and multiple answers, matching, abstract completion and short answer questions.
Writing:
Students will have 60 minutes to write a short essay on an academic topic (choose one from three topics). Students will be asked to ensure that they use appropriate academic style and structure in their answers.
Spoken language:
The speaking part is very similar to the IELTS speaking test, 10- 12 minutes. * * There are three parts.
Ask candidates to answer some short questions about familiar or everyday topics.
(2) Let the students talk for a period of time (2 minutes), and the evaluator will show the topic on a briefing card. Before starting a short monologue, candidates will have one minute to prepare.
③ The assessor raised follow-up questions on the issues discussed in Part 2. Candidates must prove their ability to have a two-way interactive dialogue with evaluators.
