Public English Test System (PETS) is a national English proficiency test system designed and managed by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education. As an educational exchange and cooperation project between the Chinese and British governments, it received technical support from British experts in the design process. The level is divided into pets-1 to 5.
2. National Scholarships
National scholarship refers to a scholarship funded by the central government to reward outstanding students in order to encourage students in ordinary undergraduate colleges, higher vocational schools and colleges to study hard, make progress and develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically.
3. Excellent graduates
Excellent graduates, as the best students in the graduating class, must have good quality and excellent academic performance to get this title.
4. National Inspirational Scholarship
In order to help more poor students with excellent academic performance complete their studies, in 2007, China set up a national inspirational scholarship for the first time. The national inspirational scholarship is jointly established by the central and local governments. The reward targets are students from poor families with excellent academic performance in undergraduate colleges and higher vocational colleges. The amount of funding is 5,000 yuan per person per year, and the coverage of funding will reach 3% of the national college students.
5. Excellent members
"Excellent * * * Communist Youth League member" is an honorary title, which is usually awarded to * * * Communist Youth League members who have outstanding performance and outstanding work achievements and can take the lead. "Excellent Communist Youth League members" must meet certain evaluation conditions and have established standards for comprehensive evaluation. At the same time, there are outstanding league cadres, the May Fourth Red Flag League branch (general branch) and the May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee.
