Extended data:
IELTS, known as the International English Language Testing System in Chinese, is an international English proficiency test jointly organized by the British Council (namely, the Cultural and Education Office of the British Embassy/Consulate General in China), the Examination Committee of Cambridge University and the Australian Agency for International Development and Education.
The exam is designed for students from non-English-speaking countries who apply to study and immigrate in English-speaking countries (the United States, Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, etc.). ) and used to evaluate candidates' English proficiency.
In July 2007, the British Ministry of Culture and Education issued a new regulation. From July, 2007, the writing and speaking part of IELTS test, like listening and reading, will be divided into half points! This means that if the examiner of writing and speaking level thinks that it is not enough integer file, there will be one and a half points, and it will not fall directly into the next integer file as before.
As a global English language test, IELTS has been recognized by quite a few universities in America. Please note that it is a considerable number, not all, and American universities have higher requirements for IELTS. Most require more than 7 points, many require 6.5 points, and very few require 6 points. Less than 6 points, almost none.
