Application process
I. Application timetable
The enrollment season in Japan is mainly in April and June at 5438+00, and some schools will make up records and transfer students in June at 5438+00 and July, but the enrollment schools and enrollment numbers are relatively small.
Tip: Students should try their best to apply for the main semester in April and June at 5438+00. At the same time, students are advised to apply as soon as possible. Generally, matters such as applying for a school should be handled more than half a year in advance.
Second, the examination information
At present, there are two main Japanese tests recognized in Japan, namely the International Japanese Proficiency Test (JLPT) and the Japanese Test. JLPT exams are held in July and the first Sunday of 65438+February every year, and exams are generally held in odd months (that is, once a month). Check the specific time in official website.
Tip: If you want to go to a Japanese language school, I suggest you take the exam, because the time is flexible and you can control it yourself.
Third, enter the university.
First, you need to choose a good school, and then take the Unified Examination for International Students in Japan (EJU). After passing the exam, some schools will ask to take the on-campus exam. The examination time in the school is uncertain, depending on the specific situation of each school. The general time is before April of each year, which school to apply for, and I will tell you the specific examination time and subjects after I go to the school to get the enrollment materials. There are usually two or three exams, depending on your time.
Tip: In addition to the above two items, the school will arrange an interview after you are admitted. The interview tutor can attend the remedial class of your language school. It is often more successful to prepare for the interview through the guidance of the teacher.
Fourth, choose a school.
Japan's education industry is relatively developed, the education system is advanced, and the classification of schools is also very detailed. Japanese schools are mainly divided into language schools, universities, universities, short-term universities and specialized schools. In order to save study expenses, Japanese students have always preferred Japanese public universities because their tuition fees are significantly lower than those of private universities. Students who want to enter public universities in China must pass the unified examination for foreign students and have excellent language skills. This requires students to actively review in the language learning stage, and many language schools will have special remedial classes for further study, so students should make full use of this resource. In addition, if economic conditions permit, private universities in Japan are also good choices, such as Waseda, Keio and Ritsumeikan. ...
Tip: Japanese universities require international students to have 12 complete educational experience, that is, high school graduation or equivalent, among which universities require undergraduate graduation. In addition to Japanese language schools, colleges and universities also have higher requirements for foreign students in Japanese, among which junior colleges require Japanese level 1 or above and universities require Japanese level 2 or above.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) visa strategy
Japanese visas are anti-visas. Students should submit the information to the school, and the school will send it to the Japan Immigration Bureau for application. After applying for residence, apply for a visa at the Japanese Embassy. Therefore, the main department that listens to students' information is the Japanese Immigration Bureau, and students generally don't need to see visa officers, which avoids a lot of trouble.
Tip: However, because there is no need for a face-to-face interview, the Immigration Bureau is very strict in reviewing the information of international students, and generally will not pass some flawed or questionable materials. So we must be careful when dealing with materials. Because there are many admission materials in Japan and the examination is very detailed, it is suggested that students entrust professionals to apply for visas, which can greatly improve the success rate.
