Peking University China Language and Literature Department Library
Peking University Library China Language and Literature Department Branch (hereinafter referred to as Chinese Department Branch) was formerly the reference room of China Language and Literature Department, and began to build with China Linguistics Research Center in 2000. Joined the library system of Peking University in 2008.

The branch library of Chinese Department mainly collects China literature, China linguistics, classical philology and other majors, involving books, periodicals, dissertations and other professional documents of related disciplines, and mainly provides information services for the teaching of the department. By May 2007, there were nearly 20,000 kinds of books in Chinese and foreign languages in the branch library, with 42,000 volumes. There are more than 270 Chinese and foreign periodicals, with nearly 20,000 bound volumes; Among them, 22 foreign language periodicals are unique to our library; 1982-2007 master's and doctoral dissertations 1255 kinds/volume, all of which are open-shelf reading.

The branch libraries of Chinese Department include Wang Li Library and You Guoen Library, which collect books donated by two in-laws. Books donated by Mr. Wang and Mr. Zhu's family have been received, and the library and Zhu Library will be built soon; A scholar's library, which focuses on teachers' works in China, is also under construction. The books in the library are closed-shelf management, so you can only read them and not borrow them.

The branch of Chinese Department is located on the third floor of the west annex of the old chemistry building. Covering an area of more than 300 square meters, it has a book lending room, a periodical reading room, Wang Li Library and You Guoen Library. There are more than 40 reading seats, and it is equipped with catalogue retrieval and computer retrieval system. The environment is elegant and bright, which is a good place for reading and consulting materials. At present, two staff members provide professional and enthusiastic services for readers.
