What is the family?
The department is the name of the college, and the class is a specific class. For example, students in the administration class 15 of the School of Economics and Management, the department is the School of Economics and Management, and the class is the administration class 152 (which can be referred to as the administration class 152 for short). Every major will have an abbreviation, which can be used when filling in the class (for formal occasions, such as exams)

If you don't know your department/class, you can ask the head teacher or the head teacher. If you have difficulty contacting the class teacher, you can go to the school letter network to make an inquiry.

Departments are generally relative to universities or professional technical schools. Their school is divided into various majors, and each major belongs to its own department. For example, English major is Foreign Languages College; Media major is School of Journalism and Communication. The School of Foreign Languages is divided into teaching Chinese as a foreign language, undergraduate English and other majors. This is the department.

Department refers to the name of the college or department where the major is located or graduated. Most comprehensive universities have colleges, and there are departments under the colleges, which can be filled in according to the actual situation. A small number of ordinary universities only have departments and no colleges. In this case, just write the school name and department name.
