1930- 1936 Lao She once taught in cheeloo university, Jinan, Shandong Province and Qingdao University, Shandong Province.

1930, Lao She returned to China and became a professor in cheeloo university, teaching and writing. 193 1 married Ms. Hu Jieqing and published the novel Xiaopo's Birthday in the same year.
