Guangzhou University Town is located in Xiaoguwei Island, Panyu District, Guangzhou City, China, with an area of 17.9 square kilometers. There are 200,000 college students planned, and the planned urban population is about 350,000. The overall planning and construction of the University Town was officially launched in June 2003, and the first phase of the project was officially completed in June 2003. On September 1 day, 2004, the first batch of 10 freshmen from Guangdong universities entered the university town one after another.
