In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education "service-oriented, employment-oriented, combining with Industry-University-Research", Software College closely combines the talent demand and development trend of national defense industry and local economy, while focusing on supporting the specialty with advantages and characteristics, and taking the change of talent demand as the guide, it timely adjusts the professional structure, actively cultivates new majors, vigorously develops technology-applied majors suitable for national defense industry and local economy in Shanxi Province, and realizes the goal of coordinated development of scale, structure, benefit and quality.

On the basis of the existing 12 major, we will focus on information technology majors such as software technology and actively create conditions. By the end of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, our college will gradually form a multidisciplinary professional system with advantages and characteristics of 26 majors in five disciplines, including engineering, literature, economics, management and law.

1. In order to meet the needs of the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, the specialty setting has developed from pre-production to mid-production, post-production, deep processing and integration of agriculture, industry and commerce.

2. Adhere to the advantages of software and related majors, pay attention to the development of emerging disciplines, and build a multidisciplinary professional system featuring engineering.

3. Actively develop literature, economics, management, law and other majors to meet the urgent needs of the rapid development of national defense and local economy for talents in short supply.

5. On the basis of junior college, gradually transition to undergraduate course.
