Anqing Normal University (AQNU for short) is located in Anqing City, Anhui Province. It is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning organized by the people's government of Anhui Province. It is an excellent institution for evaluating the undergraduate teaching level of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, and the first batch of units in China with the right to award bachelor's degrees. The school has the right to award master's degree, and was selected as the first batch of pilot institutions in the second phase of the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" and the "Data China" Hundred Schools Project.
1897 was founded in Jingfu Academy, then merged with Qiushi Academy to form Anhui University Hall, and later changed to Anhui Ordnance Academy, Anhui Army Academy and Anhui Law and Politics College. 1928, the provincial Anhui university was established here; 1946 changed to National Anhui University; From 1949 to the third branch of PLA Naval Joint School, and from 1958 to Anhui Normal University and Anqing Branch of Anhui Normal University; 20 16 was renamed Anqing Teachers College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
As of May 2023, the school has two campuses, Longshan and Linghu, covering an area of 2,800 mu. 17 secondary colleges offer 72 undergraduate majors; There are 1 1 academic master degree points in the first-level discipline, and1/professional master degree authorization categories; There are more than 0/800 faculty members/KLOC and 29,700 full-time students.
