The patient walks back and forth in the meantime, and the pace is determined by the patient according to his own physique. If the patient is physically weak, he can take a break or suspend the experiment. After 6 minutes, the experiment ended, and the monitoring personnel counted the walking distance of the patients and evaluated the results.

Experts who conducted this experiment earlier in the United States divided the walking distance of patients into four grades: 1 grade is less than 300m, grade 2 is 300-374.9m, grade 3 is 375-449.5m, and grade 4 is over 450m. The lower the grade, the worse the heart function. It can be said that the heart function is close to or has reached normal if it reaches grade 3 or 4.

I am over 60 years old and have no cardiovascular disease. I can walk 490 meters in six minutes. Therefore, the degree of cardiac function damage is not serious in patients who can reach grade 3 or above.

The prediction results show that the distance of 1 is three times higher than that of 4. Re-hospitalization within 8 months 10 times higher. It can be seen that this test is also valuable for predicting the risk and consequences of patients' illness. In addition, the test can also compare the effects of patients before and after treatment and the advantages and disadvantages of treatment methods. The data provided by the instrument are also in good agreement with the cardiac function data measured by the instrument. Therefore, scholars believe that this test method is simple, safe and not limited by objective conditions.
