The art major of Chongqing University is located in the Art College (formerly "Humanities Art College", renamed as "Art College" from June 5438 to October 2007 10). The New Art College of Chongqing University is located in the first teaching building (President Building) of Chongqing University with a long history. The college has six undergraduate majors, namely, art design (including environmental art design and visual communication design, and interior design was added in 2008), painting (including traditional Chinese painting and oil painting), sculpture, industrial design, animation, dance and music performance, before 2006.
