Beijing Normal University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), which is jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Beijing.

Ranked as "Double First Class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", it is one of the first ten key universities in the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan. Beijing Campus of Beijing Normal University covers an area of 1 19 1 mu, namely Haidian Campus, Xicheng Campus and Changping Campus G. In addition, there is a branch school in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province: Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus.

Beijing Normal University has 3 departments, 23 colleges and 2 departments, 1 1 research institutes. At present, there are 25 post-doctoral research stations, 3 doctoral programs in first-class disciplines, 39 master programs in first-class disciplines and 74 undergraduate majors.
