Hong Kong and Macao Pass students can apply in different places. In Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao passes can be handled in different places. Non-local registered employees and college students can apply for Hong Kong and Macao passes and endorsements in these six cities, but they must have residence permits or temporary residence permits. The original valid residence permit, original ID card and original Hong Kong and Macao Pass are required to apply in different places. If you don't have a residence permit, you can't apply.

Hong Kong and Macao Pass Processing Process:

1. Receiving Application Form: The applicant himself or entrusts others to collect the Application Form for Mainland Residents' Travel Permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao (hereinafter referred to as the application form) at the reception window of the exit-entry administration department of public security with the applicant's household registration book or resident ID card, and the applicant can also print the application form online;

2. Fill in the application form: Please fill in the application form with black or blue-black ink pen with true, clear and neat handwriting, and paste a copy of the applicant's household registration book and resident ID card in the corresponding position indicated in the application form.

3. Submit an application: For the first time, the applicant must go to the entry-exit administration department in person. Submit a complete application form with the applicant's recent bareheaded color photo (48×33mm), and submit the applicant's valid resident ID card and the original residence booklet (temporary resident ID card and residence booklet can be submitted during the collection, renewal and replacement of resident ID cards).

4. Getting the certificate: The applicant himself or his/her entrusted person will get the certificate at the reception hall of the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Provincial Public Security Department according to the appointment time with the Receipt issued after acceptance.

Interim Measures for the Administration of China Citizens Traveling to or from Hongkong or Macao for Private Affairs.

Twenty-first Hong Kong and Macao compatriots home visit permit shall be kept by the holder, valid for ten years, and can be used many times during the validity period. If the validity period expires or the check page runs out, a new card can be issued. The application for renewal of a new certificate shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of these Measures.

Twenty-second travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao are valid once within the validity period. The validity period of the Travel Permit between Hong Kong and Macao is five years, which can be extended twice, each time not exceeding five years. The certificate shall be kept and used by the holder. Every time he goes to Hong Kong or Macao, he shall go through the application procedures in accordance with the provisions of Articles 6, 8 and 10 of these Measures, and go through the round-trip endorsement after approval. Public security organs specially authorized by the Ministry of Public Security can make multiple round-trip endorsements.

Twenty-third Hong Kong and Macao compatriots who have lost their Home Visit Permit after coming to the Mainland shall report the loss to the city or county public security organ or the transportation department. After investigation, the public security organ will issue a certificate, and the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ will issue a valid exit-entry pass to prove the return to Hong Kong and Macao. Hong Kong and Macao compatriots who have lost their Home Visit Permit in Hong Kong, Macao or the Mainland may reapply for their Home Visit Permit in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of these Measures.
