Beijing Normal University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), which is jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Beijing. Ranked as "Double First Class", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", it is one of the first ten key construction universities in the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan.
Beijing Normal University consists of Beijing Campus and Zhuhai Campus (including four campuses). There are more than 24,000 full-time students in Beijing campus, and the Zhuhai campus was officially approved by the Ministry of Education in April 1965, with 438+09 and more than 3,600 graduate students. The school has 3 departments, 27 colleges, 2 departments, 1 1 research institutes and 4 academy of sciences. There are more than 4.9 million books in the collection and 9.7 million electronic books.
Discipline construction:
There are 77 undergraduate majors, 38 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degree, 32 first-level disciplines authorized by doctor's degree and 28 post-doctoral research stations. 38 disciplines cover 10 disciplines, forming a comprehensive discipline layout.
The fourth round of the first-level discipline evaluation in 20 16 released by the Center for Degree and Postgraduate Education Development of the Ministry of Education shows that six first-level disciplines, including pedagogy, psychology, China language and literature, China history, drama, film and television, and geography, got A+, two first-level disciplines got A-, and seven first-level disciplines got A-, ranking sixth in the number of universities in China.
