I am also from Lanzhou University, one year older than you. According to my experience last year, my parents have a place to live, and there are mainly several choices:

(1) lives in the school dormitory. Our dormitory building in Yuzhong Campus 16 (or 15, I can't remember) is empty. Usually no one lives, that is, parents live during orientation and instructors live during military training. Last year, we spent 20 yuan a bed and slept for four people in one room, but there was no way to take a bath in the room and the conditions were not very good.

(2) The Blue Sky Hotel (reception center) in Yuzhong Campus run by the school has good accommodation conditions. It seems that a single room is 60 a day, and a triple room is 80 a day (it seems to be, or 90). The price of a double room is similar to that of a triple room, and the standard room seems to be 120 a day.

(3) Private hotels off campus are generally cheaper, with acceptable accommodation conditions (better than dormitory buildings), close to the school and convenient. The downside is that security may be worse, or it is better to manage your own finances.

According to my experience last year, it is mainly these three kinds, so I can't make an appointment. If your parents come alone, the personal building is the choice (1), because it is cheaper to spend a lot of money in four years of college, so it is better to save some. If there are many people coming, you'd better choose (2) or (3), because whether it's Blue Sky Hotel or private hotel, the rooms are relatively large, so it's no problem for two people to sleep in a bed. For example, if two parents come, they can live in a single room in the Blue Sky Hotel, which is not very crowded and the conditions are better (the number of people in the room is not limited, and they don't care about living in a single room for two or three people).

One more thing, I must remind you that because most of your freshmen are concentrated in those two days, if you want your parents to have a place to live when they come, you'd better come one or two days earlier than the scheduled registration time. I came a day early last year, otherwise it would be difficult to find a place to live in those two days.
